The 21-story Kempinski Hotel Zografski is located in one of the Sofia's loveliest areas at the foothills of Vitosha Mountain and just 5 minutes from the business centre of the capital Sofia. The Japanese garden is quite large and is located in the central courtyard of the hotel.
The five star hotel is designed by the Japanese architect Dr. Kisho Kurokawa and was officially opened on May 23rd, 1979. It was part of the New Otani hotel system until 1991. It changed hands every couple of years until becoming the property of the Kempinski Hotels and Resorts in 1997.

Their color faded away,
While meaninglessly
I spent my days in the world
And the long rains were falling.
