JGarden Description:This garden was designed by London landscape architect, Takashi Sawano, and was commissioned by the City of Aberdeen to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Hiroshima's destruction. The plant design focuses on Japanese plants. The site is organized around a central water feature shaped as the kanji for 'kokoro' (lit. heart or spirit). Some of the stone materials are actually granite pavers from the City of Aberdeen's streets and sidewalks.
