Description: Describes the process of restoring ceramic roof tiles (kawara) to the Pavilion in the Portland Japanese Garden. The work was performed by CC and L Roofing in Portland and involved fixing leaks, redesigning the tile layout, installation of snow hooks and other modifications to adapt the roof to the local climate.
